This act covers provisions of working hours, wages, canteen, creche, drinking water, restrooms, urinals, first aid, washing facility, holidays and other conditions for the employees.The Haryana Govt. implemented rules with some changes called as Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Rules,1971.

 

Applicability of The Contract Labour (R&A) Act’1970 in Haryana

 

In Haryana, the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, of 1970 applies to all establishments where 50 or more contract employees work or worked in any preceding 12 months.

 

Registration of Employer under The Contract Labour(R&A) Act’1970

 

Registration- Every Employer is required to take registration under the act when 50 or more employees work or work in any preceding 12 months at any establishment.

 

Documents Required for Registration of Employer

 

  1. Shop Registration Logins
  2. Contractor firm/company name with address
  3. Contractor’s shop registration BIP ID (if the contractor belongs to Haryana) or LIN (If Contractor is outside of Haryana).
  4. Contractor’s mobile number and mail ID.
  5. Contractor number of employees with the nature of their work
  6. Contract start and end date.
  7. Certified standing order of Employer
  8. Certified standing order of Contractors, if employees are 50 or more than 50.
  9. Labour Welfare fund deposit proof of employer and contractor

 

Licence of Contractor under The Contract Labour (R&A) Act’1970 in Haryana

 

 

Every Contractor is required to take registration under the act when 50 or more employees work or work in any preceding 12 months at any establishment.

 

Documents Required for Licence of Contractor

 

  1. Registration Certificate of Employer
  2. Form-V

 

Fee for Registration and Licence

 

Registration-

 

Exceeds 50 but less than 100 Rs.100
Exceeds 100 but less than 200 Rs.200
Exceeds 200 but less than 400 Rs.400
Exceeds 400 but less than 500 Rs.500

 

The contractor needs to pay fees and security as follows:

 

Fee-

 

Exceeds 50 but less than 100 Rs.100
Exceeds 100 but less than 200 Rs.200
Exceeds 200 but less than 400 Rs.400
Exceeds 400 but less than 500 Rs.500

 

Security-

 

Rs.30/- per contract employee and it is refundable after completion of contract work at establishment.
